BATTERIES

Hybrid & EV Battery Types

Open the bonnet or trunk of a hybrid or EV and you won’t find one battery doing all the work. Most of these vehicles run two, sometimes three, each built for a completely different job.

The 12V battery handles the basics: dashboard, infotainment, door locks. It also closes the relay that wakes up the high voltage system, so if it dies, the whole car can be stuck, even with a fully charged traction battery.

In mild hybrids, a 48V battery stores energy recovered under braking and feeds it back through a belt or integrated starter-generator. That’s what gives the engine its smooth stop-start restart and a small torque boost when you pull away, no charging cable required.

Then there’s the high voltage pack itself: the large lithium-ion battery that actually drives the wheels, running at several hundred volts and built up from individual modules.

If your dashboard’s throwing a battery fault, your hybrid system won’t kick in, or your EV’s losing range, find the right battery type below. Depending on the fault, you may only need a single module rather than the full battery, we stock both. Every part is tested and comes with a 12-month warranty.

New, Used & Refurbished OEM Batteries & Modules

We stock all three battery types below (12V auxiliary, 48V mild hybrid, and high voltage EV) as complete units or as individual modules, in new, used, or refurbished condition depending on what’s available for your model. Each one is capacity- and health-tested before it ships, with a 12-month warranty as standard.

12V Auxiliary Lithium Batteries

Keeps your low-voltage electronics running and wakes up the high voltage system on startup. See all 12V Auxiliary Lithium Batteries & Modules →

48V Mild Hybrid Batteries

Stores braking energy to assist the engine during acceleration and stop-start. See all 48V Mild Hybrid Batteries & Modules →

High Voltage EV Batteries

The main pack that stores the energy used to drive the wheels, available complete or module by module. See all High Voltage EV Batteries & Modules →

Battery Testing, Warranty & Exchange Service

Every battery or module we sell has been through capacity and health testing before it leaves the warehouse, and it’s backed by a 12-month warranty. If you’re buying an exchange part, we’ll hold a refundable deposit until your old unit comes back to us.
